Matthew 21:33-40, The Parable of the Wicked Tenants

A local Baptist minister preached a sermon on television this past Sunday morning, where he referred to Matthew 21:33-40, which is known commonly as the Parable of the Wicked Tenants.

I come in the name of Jesus, the Messiah. Receive me. Do not reject me.
I come in the name of Jesus, the Messiah. Receive me. Do not reject me.

That tells of the master of a house planting a vineyard, putting a fence around it, digging in a winepress, and building a tower.  With all that work completed, he then rented it to farmers and went abroad.  When it was harvest time, he sent three servants to collect the harvest from the farmers, but they killed those (methods depicted in picture above).  This led to the master of the house sending more servants to collect the harvest, only to have the farmers do the same to them.  Then, the master of the house sent his son to collect the harvest, thinking they would respect the son.  Instead, they saw the son as the heir; and, they thought killing him would make them the inheritors of all the harvest. So, they killed him (method not stated).

This reading ended with Jesus asking the question to the people of the temple, “When the vineyard owner will come, what will he do to those farmers?"  They all said, “He will destroy them and rent out the vineyard to farmers who will give him the fruits of the season.”

Well, this is pretty clear to me as being a parable (metaphor) about the Vineyard of Israel (not Roman possessed Judea and Galilee), which was in two nations: Israel (the Northern Kingdom) and Judah (the Southern Kingdom).  That was where the servants were sent, with them killed in both places.  The son is (of course) Jesus, who was expected to be received as the Messiah; but, instead, they saw any Messiah taking away their land and glory. So, killing him would mean they could retain claims on everything.

Here, it must be realized that beatings, killings, and being bashed to death by stoning all have a tendency to bring bloodshed.  All the servants killed and the son killed spilled their blood doing the work assigned to them by the Vineyard owner (Yahweh - the Father).

Not too long after this was read aloud by the pastor, he summarized some nice comments about how the Jews of Israel were the new farmers (as best as I can remember).  He did not speak about the purpose of the parable being about the son came as servants (the Prophets of Israel and Judah, each possessed with the soul of the Son). So, he did not say anything about how when the son came as the Son in the flesh (himself a Prophet of Judea and Galilee possessed with the soul of the Son), his being killed was no different than the others killings.

The pastor did not tell anything about how to reject every living human being sent by the Father, as the Son, is a question that all true Christians must know the answer to.

What will the Father do to those who kill the Son (looking like a servant or looking like the son)?

Soon after that, this Baptist minister starting coughing up the standard line spoken by all who parrot this: Jesus came and spilled his blood on the cross of Calvary for all of us Christian believers to be saved; so, when we die our souls will spend eternity having a blast in heaven, while sinners roast in Hell.” (or something close to that)

Does that NOT sound an awful lot like what the farmers who killed Jesus said: “Let us kill him kai gain possession of the inheritance of him”?

To say Jesus spilled his blood at Calvary seems like Jesus climbed up on a cross, nailed himself to it, pierced his own side and shed his blood. It is as if nobody is responsible for that, because Jesus was sent to be killed by Yahweh (God, to you non-Christians).

Do you think Jesus told this parable expecting the people of the temple to say, "The vineyard owner would do nothing, since it was fairly clear when the farmers killed the first two sets of slaves, they were making a loud statement about having stolen the land and all its nice things. For the vineyard owner to send his son would mean the vineyard owner wanted his son to be killed too!"

Because Jesus did not correct them when they said, "He will destroy the wicked tenants and rent the vineyard to those farmers who would produce fruits rightfully belonging to the vineyard owner," that says killing the son was as wicked as killing those who came before him.

To celebrate the death of Jesus AND not do one thing to become a renter of flesh that is expected by Yahweh (the Father – Vineyard owner) to produce fruits given to Him, means to sit on a pew and take delight in Jesus being killed so you can be a lazy farmer that waits for all the fruits of the earth to be yours, never once getting off you ass to serve Yahweh (the Vineyard owner).

Going to church and listening to television sermons is not doing the work of a good fruit producer. BEING a church in the name of Jesus and going in ministry to tell people, "You have misunderstood the meaning of Scripture. Here, let Jesus tell you through my lips" is what a good farmer does to produce fruits of the vine.

When Jesus came in the flesh (with his soul being the Son), it was to make a lazy good-for-nothing farmers join with his soul and become each a renter that loves working to produce the fruits of the Son, for the Father. This is being Jesus reborn into new (your) flesh. [He looks nothing like the Sunday School pictures of him.]

But no … Christians today would rather toss a twenty dollar bill (or less) into the pass-around-basket and enjoy being told, “If you believe Jesus died for you, you are saved!”

Jesus died SO HIS SOUL CAN BECOME ONE WITH YOUR SOUL.  [Read that again ... S L O W L Y ... and let that soak in]

Jesus died so YOU can be reborn as Him. [Two souls in one body of flesh - divinely possessed. Or, as Jesus told Nicky Deemus, "Born again from above."] This happened to many, beginning on Pentecost Sunday, the day after Jesus was Ascended. {He returned long ago.]

If you are not producing good fruits for the Father (Yahweh, the Vineyard owner), then you are the answer to the question, “What will be done to those good-for-nothing farmers who killed Jesus in all his forms?”

As Tonto the TV Indian would say (according to a joke told by Lenny Bruce), “You gonna die Kemosabe.”  Dying is the opposite of eternal salvation.

That ain't happening in the State of Israel (land of Zionists); and, it ain't happening in lands that call themselve Christian, who love killing anyone who says, "You have it all wrong. You do not own the Vineyard. You have to produce the fruits of the Jesus vine or be seen as a dead branch and tossed into the fire."

I hear the wood for a new crucifix being hewned as I write.
