Two men clothed in white?

On May 18, 2023 Christian churches recognize Ascension Day. As this commemorative day comes to a close, I have a serious question to ask all who have listened to a priest, pastor, minister or preacher sermonize about this event. The question is this: Who are the “two men dressed in white” who “suddenly … stood beside them” [the disciples], saying, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:10-11, NIV)

Has ANYONE ever had them explained to you? I want to know.
